Deniz Coşan is a Clinical Psychologist & Counselling Psychologist & Psychotherapist & Psychoanalyst in Formation.

She is in the Psychoanalytic Formation at Istanbul Psychoanalytical Association (IPD), that is the member of International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA).

She applies counselling, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to adults in private practice & she also offers clinical supervision for psychotherapist working with psychoanalytical approach. Her sessions are both in English and in Turkish, face to face & online.

Deniz Coşan studied Psychology and Sociology at Bilgi University, Istanbul and Copenhagen University, Denmark (BA).

She continued with an MSc in Counselling Psychology at Keele University (UK) and an MA Clinical Psychology at Bilgi University, Istanbul, Turkey.

Deniz Coşan has applied counselling and psychotherapy both in the United Kingdom (The Place2Be, United Churhes of Healing Ministry, LGF Manchester) and Turkey (Yedikule Psychiatrical Centre, Halicioglu Medical Centre, Istanbul Bilgi University Psychological Counselling Centre) at various centres for adults, children and adolescents, couples and families.

Trained in a variety of techniques including Psychoanalytic Approach, Person-centred Approach, Cognitive Behavioural Approach, Solution-focused Approach and Play Therapy.

Deniz Coşan wrote her master level thesises on “Perception of Psychotherapy in Turkey” and “Psychoanalytic Frame: Historical Development and its Clinical Importance”. She presented her works at national and international congresses.

She has taught Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Psychoanalytic Theories as a University Instructor.

In the Psychoanalytic Formation of Istanbul Psychoanalytical Association, the member of International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA), she regularly attends at national and international seminars, congresses and supervisions on classical and modern approaches of clinical practice and psychoanalysis.

• Representative in International Psychoanalytical Studies Organization

She works for the benefit of psychoanalysts in formation and organizes psychoanalytic events as the Representative of Istanbul Psychoanalytical Association at International Psychoanalytical Studies Organization (IPSO World).

She publishes her writings on psychoanalytical approach, and translates texts from English to Turkish, Turkish to English for psychoanalytic journals and other mediums.
